Krispie hair.

For some reason, whenever Hannah finishes a bowl of Rice Krispie's she like to put the rest in her hair. Maybe she will start a new trend! Krispie hair...

Easter Egg Hunt.

Hannah has been so sick this year that we have been house-bound quite a bit. Due to our cabin fever, we decided to brave the outdoors and go to the annual Easter Egg Hunt. In light of how sick she was, Hannah seemed to have a pretty good time.  During the hunt for eggs, Hannah managed to find all five of her eggs and, much to my delight, managed to evade being plowed over by all of the bigger kids.

After finding all of her eggs, Grandpa Frank thought that it would be fun to teach her how to pick up handfuls of sawdust and through it. Admittedly, she thought it was fun too...

After the egg hunt was over, she posed for a photo op with her Uncle Matthew on the left and her cousin Joshua on the right. Awww... don't the three of them look so cute!

Then, we went on a walk around the farm where she got to pet a baby chick...

Color easter eggs...

Color pictures with Auntie Reda...

But, when it came time to say hi to the Easter Bunny, she refused. She screamed at the idea of even standing next to the Easter Bunny while I was holding her. She's was so happy when Grandpa Stevens finally offered her the safety of his embrace so that Mommy wouldn't be able to torture her and her vain attempts to get a picture... Turns out, this is the closest she would get to the Easter Bunny...

She did love the hula-hoops though...

and...

having Uncle Nick help her...

do pull-ups!

Talking on the phone.

Daddy was gone for the entire week last week to do some training for his job. Somehow, despite how sick she was, Hannah managed to figure out how to dial her Daddy's phone number. I couldn't believe it as I sat there and watched her scroll through the phone book until she landed on his name and then hit the call button. It was amazing! Although their entire conversation consisted of "hi" back and forth, Hannah seemed to enjoy hearing his voice on the other end.

She was so engrossed in her conversation and lounging on the couch, that I can only imagine what her teenage years will have in store for us!

Splish-Splash.

Rain, Rain, Go AWAY.

After the third day of rain, Hannah was pretty sick of being stuck inside. So, I decided that it would be okay to let her try out her new rain boots...

As soon as she saw the flooded part of our yard, she heading directly for it and then stopped at the edge of the newly formed lake.

Tentatively, she waded past the edge, deeper into the "lake", testing the abilities of her new rain boots.

She had fun walking around and exploring the depths of her new, watery, play-place.

Refusing to join her in the "lake", Hannah tried her baby-babble to entice me.

She even tried pointing at some far-away object... But, I wouldn't budge. I was happy with dry feet behind the camera lens.

So, I watched her splash around, taking picture after picture. She was having such a good time until...

... she lost her balance and fell. Right in the middle of this "lake" in our yard.

Finally, Hannah succeeded at forcing me get my feet wet as I rescued her from the tortures of a puddle that's just a little to deep for a one-year old girl.

Playing at the park with Daddy.

Hannah and Daddy had so much fun playing at the park together! They started on the slide...

Then, Daddy thought Hannah would like going on the swing so they tried that for a while...

Turns out, Hannah really wanted to swing WITH Daddy...

Playing at the park.

Now that the weather is finally nice again, I can take Hannah out to the park to play.

Here she is playing peek-a-boo and...

playing on a swing, her favorite thing to do!

Auntie Janice.

Although we have not had an official ceremony or anything, Auntie Janice is Hannah's Godmother. She is so good to her and they have such a good time together. Hannah is so lucky to have such a great Godmother. This is them together!

Sleeping with Daddy.

One night, when I came home from class, this was the sight that greeted me. It was so cute that even though I knew I would wake Hannah up, I had to take a picture!

Wearing Glasses.

This year, Daddy had to get a new pair of glasses. While we were at the store, Hannah had such a fun time running around and trying on as many pairs of glasses as we would let her. When he finally picked up his new glasses, he took the lenses out of his old ones and let Hannah play with them. She had such a fun time!

Making Holiday Cards.

This year I decided to make all of my own holiday cards. While making them, Hannah decided that she really wanted to help. So, I gave her some of her own stamped images to color.

Here is the product of some of her work. I loved them so much that I found myself unwilling to send them out to other people and instead decided to keep them for my scrapbook!

Playing in the Snow.

This was Hannah's first time going out to play in the snow this year. I just plopped her in the middle of the yard to see what she would do. At first, she was confused.

Then, she started screaming! I assume because she realized it was cold.

Once she realized she could eat the snow, she seemed to be okay until...

Daddy finally came to rescue her with some beloved Dunkin' Donuts!

Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's.

After a long day, we finally arrived at Nana and Papa's house on Christmas Eve. As soon as we arrived, we had to change Hannah out of her beautiful Christmas outfit because she had spilled milk all over it and was completely drenched... Due to our tardiness, everyone had started opening their presents by the time we arrived.

Nana and Papa got all of the girls a Cabbage Patch doll for Christmas. Alyssa was so entralled with her doll and the box it came in that she asked Nana to put her in the box her doll came in. It was so cute!

Hannah loved opening and playing with all of her gifts.

Here, Dominic and Hannah are helping each other open a present.

Dominic and Hannah love each other so much.

Aubrey is so happy to receive all of her presents!

And a smile from Damien...

Hannah also got another doll in her stocking from Santa. She seemed to really like it! Although we were incredibly late, Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's was wonderful. Hannah had such a wonderful time playing with all of her cousins and opening presents!

Thanksgiving.

Our first Thanksgiving adventure this year was to Nana Candy's house. Papa, Uncle Ryan, Auntie Ashley, Aubrey, Uncle Ricky, Auntie Liz, Damien, Auntie Emily and Alyssa were all there! Unfortunately, Uncle Chris wasn't there because he had to work. Nana Terri, Auntie Tiffany, Julien and Emily were also invited. That was quite a treat for Hannah to get to have both sides of her family there!

Unfortunately, she was quite hungry before dinner was ready and ended up eating this most famous family dinner alone. She didn't even get to try out the turkey because by the time it was ready, she had filled up on chex mix, tomatoes, olives, and milk.

She did, however, get to enjoy a delicious piece of pumpkin pie!

The following day, we went to Auntie Zo and Jon's house for Thanksgiving dinner. There, she got to play with Julien and Emily some more as well as Auntie Anne!

This was actually her first time eating a Thanksgiving meal. She seemed to pick at everything while completely avoiding the Turkey. For a lot of the time, she could be seen conversing with Auntie Anne and trying to share her food with Auntie Anne and trying to take food off of Auntie Anne's plate. It really was quite cute! The meal was really delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and there wasn't a thing missing! At the end, Hannah and I each had a piece of homemade pumpkin pie made by Auntie Zo that was absolutely phenomenal! And, the Cranberry pie that Auntie Anne made looked gorgeous!

It was really great to get to spend time with the family. It was really good to see Ma and to see her having such a good time holding Emily and Julien. It was also really nice to finally get to meet Bernie. He's been such a support to her and an important part of her life through everything that I was glad he was able to share our Thanksgiving with us. Jon really seemed to enjoy playing with Hannah and that was great to see as well! Uncle Dave really seemed to have a good time getting to hold and feed Julien.

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful family. Hannah is so lucky to get to grow up knowing such wonderful people and to know that they love her. She will be able to build amazing memories with amazing people throughout her life and for that, I am grateful!
